TRANSLATOR
Translator (2019-2022) was the final iteration of Cardo’s collaboration with Frozen Fields. This work bookmarks turbulent times on many fronts, for many people. Having found their mode of expression, artists translated through their mutual and respective practices these experiences, to their minimal and maximal form. As compositions delve deeper into abstraction, artists are forced to reconcile the cohesion and patterns that emerge as a natural condition of life’s imperfect harmony.
The Translator period yielded over just over 20 paintings and 45 hours of recorded music.
